Partial Solar Eclipse

This example of a partial solar eclipse (the most common type of solar eclipse) was the midpoint of the May 30, 2026 annular eclipse. The moon's shadow takes a bite out of one of the sun's magnetic storms--a sunspot larger than Earth itself.
